2007 has been a crowded year for newcomer girl groups, with the high-profile debuts of Kara, Babyvox Re.V, Girls Generation, and Wonder Girls. Despite the competition, the odds are certainly in favor of Wonder Girls considering the five members were handpicked by renowned producer Park Jin Young, who helped launch Rain into international fame. Since their debut single in February, it's been non-stop work for the Wonder Girls, from singing to acting to hosting. Unfortunately, Hyun Ah had to leave the group in July due to health reasons, but the girls are now starting anew with a new member, Kim Yoo Bin, and their first full-length album.
Produced by Park Jin Young and Kuon Teun, The Wonder Year comes with ten new songs packaged with an 8Os retro theme. Written and composed by Park Jin Young, Tell Me is a funky 8Os-style dance number that captures the girls' vibrant energy. Shinhwa's Lee Min Woo, meanwhile, composed and features in Move. The album also comes with the three songs from their earlier release - R&B number Bad Boy, ballad "A Sorry Mind" (Track 12), and of course their catchy hit single Irony.
