Shinhwa lead vocalist Shin Hye Sung chimes back with Shin Hye Sung Vol. 2 - The Beginning, New Days (Special Edition). This special edition contains three new tracks, including the singer's most recently released ballad, "Erasing, Letting Go, and Forgetting..."(Track 14) with melancholic words from a renowned lyricist Yang Jae Sun. Other new songs include "Loo" (Track 15) and "Want To Hold You" (Track 16), both from his Japanese album, which are yet to be released in Korea.

The singer graces the cover of the album projecting a solitary masculine charisma - a sharp contrast to his earlier gentle image. Also featured in Shin Hye Sung Vol. 2 - The Beginning, New Days (Special Edition) are more of the touching ballads the singer has become known for, including First Love and "Soliloquy". Highlighting Shin Hye Sung's beautiful vocals, "The Day I Met For the First Time" is written, composed, and arranged by Park Chang Hyun, who previously wrote "The Same Idea" and "Hidden Camera" for his first album.

This edition comes with a 40-page photo book containing letters written by the singer addressed to his fans and his thoughts during his second album promotion.
